St Ives Shanty Shout – November 2025
Our second trip to Cornwall inside of a month, this time to the vibrant shores of St Ives for their annual and ever growing Shanty Shout. As you might expect, great fun was had by all – and we didn’t even have to pay for the broken glasses in the Pilchard (don’t ask!).

Mevagissey Shanty Festival – October 2025
Meva was as usual a great blast, with packed and enthusiastic audiences lapping up the fun. We are already planning to go back next year!
And in the meantime why not catch us back in Cornwall in November at the St Ives Shanty Shout, Friday 21st and Sat 22nd. Be there or be square!

Recording Session – October 2025
After all our live performances this summer, time for a private session to get a few of our favourite songs recorded for the webosphere. So, here we are in Cockwood village hall, doing our thing.
And of course in the pub afterwards – singing is thirsty work. Check out the size of that BDH beer mat!!

Weston Super Mare Shanty Festival – August 2025
Once more up to Weston for their ever-growing shanty and folk festival – where as usual we were greeted by huge crowds of devoted fans at all our gigs. Great fun was had by all, and I think we still had a little of our voices left by the end! A few photos and videos of the day below for your delectation……

July 2025 and down to the ‘Big Smoke’ for a private function at the London Corinthians Sailing Club in Hammersmith. This time it was one of our ever popular pirate themed events. And a great night was had by all!

Dulverton Musical Evening May 2025
A trip north to Somerset to lovely little town of Dulverton (don’t call it a village whatever you do!) for their annual Musical Evening. We supported the fabulous singer Liz-Ee and between us we had the whole house singing and dancing along to shanties, country and western and Adele tributes!

Return to Plymouth!
May 2025 saw us back in Plymouth for the city’s fabulous Pirate Weekend – great fun was had by all. It was also the first outing for our newest crew member – Chris White (the nipper) – whose dulcet tones and tuneful harmonies make our sound even stronger! Few piccies of the day below

Mevagissey 2024
Some photos from Mevagissey – which as ever was a complete blast! And we might be wrong, but are our audiences getting younger???

Mevagissey Shanty Festival
We are very much looking forward to Mevagissey again this year – check out our gig timings and locations below – and for last minute updates check out the shanty festival site

Seafest Plymouth
Our trip to Seafest in Plymouth proved to be a great day out, with historic surroundings, enthusiastic audiences, great food and sunshine! I think we will travel down in a bigger boat next time though…

And don’t tell anyone about the birds we met ….

And all the pubs – and distillery – we did not go in….honest!

A yummy time all round…

Weston Super Mare Sea Shanty and Folk Festival
A great time was had by all at this year’s WESTON SUPER MARE SEA SHANTY AND FOLK FESITVAL on the first Saturday in August. The Vaults and Fork ‘n Ale pubs provided perfect venues for our special brand of audience-focused shanties – memories were made, especially for Alan in the Fork n’ Ale!

Our first outing for 2024 saw us once more at the Port Isaac Shanty Festival, home of the famous Fisherman’s Friends. As usual we had great fun, as did our audiences – as you can maybe judge from the impromptu videos below!
November saw us back in Cornwall at the super popular St Ives Shanty Shout. Mixing with the likes of Kimber’s Men we performed to packed crowds the Pilchard Press pub and the unique (Belgian) Bier House – great fun was had by all and we can’t wait for a return trip in 2024!

Out next port of call is Mevagissey for their increasing popular and fun shanty festival from Friday October 13th to Sunday October 15th. We will be performing seven (yes seven!) times over the weekend – so no excuse not to find us somewhere sometime!

The full Mevagissey programme can be found here and we will be singing at the following venues and times:
The Cellar Bar – Friday 10pm and Saturday 4pm
The Ship Inn – 7pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday
The Social Club – 9pm Saturday
We will also be singing at various times in the Ship Inn Pentewan – full details on the shanty festival website soon!
We really enjoyed our trip to Port Isaac, home of probably the most famous of all shanty crews of course (Fisherman’s Friends). Check out a few photos and videos below of our trip.

We are very much looking forward to our first Shanty Festival of this season – at Port Isaac on Saturday April 22nd.
You can catch us at Old School hotel at 2pm, then we will be bringing Saturday’s events to a close at 10.15pm on the acoustic stage in the main festival site – see you there!
